The two are not connected and have no reference to the decision made. But if you would like to connect the two, do so now - not a good decision at all.
They stepped out of their comfort zone into a very risky project. Risky on all fronts and they failed to cross the finish line. Just think of where the money could have been used with lower risks. Start with the patents that were put on hold due to lack of funds.
My point in my original post is this, the decision to pursue pyrolysis was as risky as they come. My opinion is they bet the farm and lost. How many millions did they spend on this project?
