I see your concern about the timeline. I think we don't know if this was the first step or the final canvasing of partnership potential though.

The positive to me was proof that they are in fact trying to find partners and that they are doing so in a venue that is geared specifically towards that. I loved the verbiage that the partnering system puts them in touch with key executives who would be involved in such discussions. If you wanted to make sure you put yourself out there, this seems like a great way to do it. Leave no stone unturned.
