Thank you for the father’s day note and wise investment suggestion for our kiddos. When my kids were born, I put $1000 in an index fund as a custodial account that they got when they turned 21. Both received more than $4000 just when they needed it. One paid for grad school and the other made a nice down payment on a much needed vehicle. Doing the same for the grandkids now. Won’t live long enough to see them claim it, but good planning can last generations.
