My experience with Computershare has been difficult and painful. I have very little tied up with them, but i cant imagine trying to execute an attack through that platform. It feels to me like if i wanted to do anything with what is held at Computershare i need to allow a week and hope that nothing funny happens. They are worse than just doing transfers between my bank and schwab.
I cant see Computershare being involved in the short attacks unless they loan those shares out. Most of what i have there is preferred shares and warrants (which all expired earlier this year) which couldnt be used in any manner i know of. Computershare seems to operate like its run by people that think "Computershare" is a techy name. Its sound like just a holdover from 1978 that has never been rebranded. Unfortunately i dread dealing with Computershare since it is so night/day compared to platforms like schwab.
