Thanks to ESMO I think I understand that LL is now endowed with TWO MOAs.
The first being its well-known blocking/ modulating effect on the CCR5 cell receptor. I need help gaining command of the details of the second MOA.
The second LL MOA is the one which turns a COLD tumor HOT. Which is not yet well known,
Can someone refer me to a summarized plain language discussion of the LL MOA which turns a ''cold tumor' HOT?
And possibly a discussion on how LL results in a cleared/changed tumor ME MOA, which then results in newly enabled ICIs to more effectively 'recognize' tumor cell as 'other' which in turn enables these otherwise ineffective ICIs into effective killers of the same tumor cells.
Does the second MOA change the tumor cells making them readily recognizable by the ICIs OR does the second MOA change the ICIs? TIA for any help.
