Always double your elevens. Just commit to it and then there's no hemming and/or hawing. Just stare the dealer in the eyes while you slide your bet up for the double, never breaking eye contact until they play the hand through and you've either won or lost. It's way more fun this way.
Another fun one I came up with during a very long post-club session at Bellagio was to offer the dealer $75 if he or she will only speak to you in the third person.
I've played a LOT of blackjack. But I, uh, seem to have, uhhh, lost the details of how I've done overall.
Meanwhile I'm equally good at investing in CYDY. I make smart purchases and every so often I get a slew of double down and split hands, which makes me think I'm about to stack some purples. But then a surprise 2 flips onto my 11 and my splits end up either busting or clearly behind the dealer's hand. In a flash it's back to the drawing board, having to be patient waiting for the next run to present itself. At least in blackjack I get to drink the whole time.
