It was very frustrating to me that eTrade takes 3 business days to pull a deposit from any of my bank accounts even though the banks show an immediate withdrawal the next day. I then got smart and tried it the other way so that I now transfer (push) the money from my banks to eTrade using the bank's transfer process. For $6, it's one business day and appears in my eTrade account the next morning as long as I execute the transfer during normal banking hours.
