I was watching the price action premarket in my brokerage app- Looking for the 100k volume break to see if there'd be any type of spike in volume and price.
Volume was about 99,000. Price was in the high 6's.
I went to another app for a few seconds and then got an alert on my phone that VERB hit $10. Quickly went back to my brokerage and volume was over 400k.
Seems to me that this is why, despite having consistent accumulation over the last couple weeks, there weren't any huge buys (Six figure orders)
Of course there's also the supply/liquidity consideration as you said, but such big buys will move the price very, very quickly if they aren't 'managed'- Which is why we were halted shortly after the open.
