It doesn’t escape me that ESMO and this breast cancer conference is taking place in München. My grandfather landed near Nice France, and made his way north eventually crossing the Rhine and came back down To Deutschland eventually liberating Dachau Concentration camp before EnteringMunich and ending up at The “wolf’s lair” Before coming home.
Greatest generation
I just think about, in that context, this announcement at ESMO, and the importance that exists to women (and men) and their families and friends who live with breast cancer; specifically mTNBC, but maybe beyond that. Thinking further about Barcelona and ESMO and colorectal cancer. It really is a liberation Effort isn’t it?
It’s completely different and it doesn’t involve nearly the same scenario, but there is pain and there is isolation but they’re also hope right? Nobody knows yet. Thursday is coming. Maybe someone will listen?
Maybe a few people other than the nine that work for CYDY will be there to help in that effort. Other doctors read the poster other scientist, who understand and think wait a minute. What’s going on here? Maybe I should be talking about this…
Maybe there’s a woman who traveled all the way across the world without Hair in her early 30s and recognizes she needs to go to ESMO just to make sure she can read the most important posters to find access to a medicine that will keep her alive so she can see her kids graduate And make them lunches each morning and kiss her husband each night before bed.
Maybe that doctor that reads the poster happens to be sipping coffee and find his way down the hallway and sees a group gathering and wonders what are those people doing looking at that poster and he pulls in and says oh this might be something and he then talks about it
Or a scientist who focused on a molecule at another company and thinks she has the cure, but it’s still five or seven years away, is looking around at competitive products and finds that poster and says Those data are much more compelling than anything I’ve ever seen, and she begins to talk about it
I think this is how it starts. At least I hope it does. The next time I am at.Dachau, I will yield reverence to the actions of my grandfather, but I will also understand that his actions were similar to what’s going on every day and every year throughout time to alleviate suffering. We are now a part of that process. I’m thankful to everyone on this board who sheds light to this molecule and to friends and family and those who make decision that lead to the alleviation of suffering
ENOUGH
It’s that important
