Regarding the team flying to Munich, the companies attending typically have reserved rooms set aside for meetings throughout the conference. The lower level people run the booths and handle the presentations (along with the thought leaders brought in to speak on their behalf) while the VIPs constantly skirt off to these rooms to meet with people like Jay. It wouldn't surprise me at all if there are already meetings planned for Jay and the team, but even if there aren't he can likely parlay the data being presented along with his presence into private sessions with numerous potential partners or collaborators.
I think that's the most likely outcome, rather than the fact that he's going there to be able to make a big ass announcement. I could be wrong on that, or even both things. But I'd bet he's already got some specific people to meet and will end up catching the ears of a handful more before it's all said and done. I just wouldn't bet on their being a PR tied to his visit. I think that's still happening on the timeline of whoever might already be involved (assuming like many of us believe that there is someone like GSK already in line) or the preclinicals and emerging data on survival and MOA is going to generate that moving forward in the near future.
