This morning on CNBC, Scott Gottlieb said the changes at the FDA are bad. Hmmmm, I can't "believe" he would think this way.
Let's take a look at his resume for the last 7 years.
Scott Gottlieb is an American physician, investor, and author who served as the 23rd commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration from May 2017 until April 2019. He is presently a senior fellow at the conservative think tank the American Enterprise Institute, a partner at the venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates, a member of the board of directors of drug maker Pfizer, Inc and gene sequencing company Illumina, Inc
Seems as though he landed on his feet since being the FDA commish. A coincidence--I think not.
This is part of the problem--FDA insiders become powerful after they leave and control the FDA from the outside.
Are people like Dr Gottlieb going to lose their political influence and the great monetary rewards that come with it? I certainly hope so.
