what's also strange is that that incestuous arrangement is pretty much ubiquitous in the rest of gov't, e.g. defense, energy...but somehow they're getting rid of it in medicine...or at least getting rid of the appearance of it (the true extent remains to be seen)...wouldn't it be *amazing* if it happened across other areas??
