Re: USS JOHNSTON #151758
Heading to Florida to check it out end of next week… I am not hitting the Everglades though… any more or good advice to stay clear of? I hear the python population is declining from the 100,000 estimated a few years ago but they are older and bigger now… Man eater size is something that is always in the back of my mind. I believe the big ones are over 20 feet now. I am sticking to the salt water beaches and a cruise down the keys is my goal.
I live in a pretty safe state in Washington which is threatening reintroducing grizzly’s. Lived here all my life… They have already brought wolfs in and that took off. Not as safe as it once was to go into the forest with an occasional black bear as your only worry and most run away when you see them. Not that they won’t attack because every so often they do.
I have a condo in Phoenix also and thinking of packing up and leaving Washington and retiring in the Phoenix area. Not many storms in Phoenix or animals that are man eaters… as a life time hunter of waterfowl and some big game I am always aware of my surroundings…
