Hypothetically, let’s say the company receives one or more low ball offers made under an NDA or off the record. I know nothing about nothing that’s why it’s hypothetical. And let’s say the company rejects the offer(s). Would it be a violation for the company to say, without naming anyone, that they had received an offer, or offers, that they rejected? Would it be unethical?

Obviously it would have a positive effect on share price. Is it best for the company to stay silent in such a situation? Just asking.
