FWIW I talked to a friend of mine who is retired, but has his series 7 and used to work up the ladder for Merrill Lynch and he is very bullish about the 21% institutional ownership. His point was if that number is wrong and they have kept it up for this long, then they have a lawsuit on their hands if people were buying based on that number, and that number turns out to be wrong. He said there are rules and they will be held accountable if they got that number wrong and people bought chairs based on that.
Having said that, I sure hope Schwab, ETRADE and yahoo are correct and this argument is a moot point.
