Ohm - you make it sound so simple. Some of My restricted CYDY shares go as far back as 2016.
How can I get that restriction lifted ? Seems like I can NOT simply contact CYDY legal and ask for this restriction to be lifted - at least based on what Paulson has told me. Ideally I’d live to have all restricted shares unrestricted so I can easily trade them in my own brokerage account.
What am I missing here ? I just don’t think it’s as simple as you’re making it seem to be. I know the process with Fidelity used to take up to a few weeks because first Fidelity would sell the shares “short” while then getting that letter from CYDY legal (which often took a few weeks) and then going out and getting those shares. The process had a T + 35 days deadline and once my trade settled on day 32. I had to sweat that out. It was a lengthy and definitely money-losing process for Fidelity which is why they probably stopped providing that service among other reasons.
