Work in Santa Monica...couple of friends living in hotels with family...they live(d) in the Palisades...which now looks like a plundered middle earth.
Yesterday looking south from office...dirty orange red sun trying to peek through gray brown cloud formation...drove down Wilshire to ocean ave. and back on SM blvd...cops everywhere...Ghostly atmosphere...waiting for something to happen...just weird...
I was in Miami in 92 for Hurricane Andrew...good thing I had a Wrangler 4x4...or I would have been frozen in place.
Same apocalyptic feel...people look at you and you acknowledge each other,...Butt,...its basically WTF.
