I'm wondering if an Alzheimer's patient could qualify? I have a dear friend whom I would classify as having moderate but slowly progressing disease and it frankly breaks my heart to see the impact on him and his family. If he's unlikely to be eligible I won't bring it up to them, I'd hate to see their hopes raised only to be dashed.
