As others have said, it's rather random. I'm used to seeing one popup a day or maybe 2 popups in a day and that seems fair. Just recently, I'm getting a popup that covers the middle of my screen on almost every stock board, read post, "What's Hot" link that I click on. There is also a random "Captcha" that will engulf my screen and want me to click on it. I close it out. I don't mind the advertisement at all, and it is welcomed to keep us up and running. The ones that are troublesome are the ads that pop up and cover things, that block us from reading content. It's gotten to a point where it has become a burden. I'll go and clear my cache, reset my browser settings in the meantime and see if that makes a difference. But judging on other users' responses, it seems like it may be global.
