It's a natural occurrence of the capitalist system. Corporate management certainly don't want to lose their cushy jobs and management are beholden to the large shareholders who demand an ever increasing share price or larger dividends. Government should be reining in the bad acts of corporations but politicians are in thrall to the same people that are demanding more money. Lina Khan is one of the few that are doing something about it but she'll soon go by the wayside and it will be business as usual.
