We already have a phase 2 trial done these are just confirmatory of mechanisms of action and show preferred dosage and results alone and in combination with other drugs. They are most likely doing these studies to attract government or non-profit sponsorship for a phase 3 trial. A GLP-1 agonist might add a slight bit of benefit in combo so there is a possibility of a pharma running a trial even without a formal partnership.
