Ohm previously referred to the breadth of reservoirs, including in the brain that might take 10-12 years to clear in a chronically HIV infected person. The theory is it would t would take over a decade on leronlimab treatment to possibly cure those patients, and since leronlimab was acquired in 2012? and the hold was place in early 2022, no one has been on it that long.
Its a good question as to how early in infection these primate models started treatment and how that would compare to the human infection cycle as to how early they would have to start the regimen or if they have already been on ART with undetectible viral loads, maybe it doesn't matter
