This is a really interesting and exciting hire to me. Dr L Worked at BMS just after they codeveloped and then marketed Atripla (a blockbuster HIV medicine) With Gilead and then he went to ViiV Which was a company formed in 2009 that combined the HIV assets from Pfizer and GSK Making them another powerhouse in the HIV world.
He has a world of experience, not only clinical development, but also with his connections in Pharma and Given his training, in Infectious Diseases.
This is a Homerun hire And I don’t think he was brought in only to advance the clinical programs with LL. He is going to be an extremely important negotiator with big Pharma for CytoDyn. He will be able to tell them his expert opinion on what this molecule is and what it can do for their pipelines. His opinion holds great weight in the world of biotech/phrma And that can’t be understated.
