I like your cliche, USS.
The cliche I'm waiting for is what was the most famous line in the Mt. St. Helens eruption of 1980. Long time ago, so I'll explain: a young geologist was sure the volcano was going to blow. So he (bravely? stupidly?) set up camp on the mountain himself, a few miles from the top, and radioed reports back to his base at Vancouver (Washington). On the day the mountain erupted, the last words he ever spoke were:
"Vancouver. Vancouver. This is it!"
