Rare earth and critical minerals exploration in eastern Kansas.
This article describes current exploration - preliminary - in Lyon Couny Kansas. Lyon County is about 110 miles southwest of Kansas City and about 220 miles due south of Elk City, NE.
This exploration is distant from the Elk Creek deposit and unrelated geogically. Just the latest in continuing reports of potential rare earth deposits in the US and globally.
Wishing doesn't make it happen but i'l say it anyway. Wish the Elk Creek project had gotten underway on one of the earlier projections for a groundbeaking. This fall is looking dimmer by the week. All depends on events beyound our knowledge or ability to influence. It'll happen - the deposit it too good to lie untapped forever.
