Well, well, well.
What have we got here?
An investor update only 12 days after the investor letter?
In just twelve days we've gone from Jay telling us:
"Research and development partnership opportunities are important to the Company as we search for cost-effective ways to further build out our product development portfolio. We have identified several such opportunities that we believe are intriguing, and anticipate finalizing agreements with these partners in the very near future."
To the announcement of an investor call to:
"The Company update will address, among other items, the status of the Company’s prospective clinical trials, recent developments with key research and development partners, and other opportunities the Company will be pursuing to further build out its development portfolio."
It very well might be more than than, too. But it does seem like Jay wasn't kidding when he said they were looking to finalize some "intriguing" partnership opportunities in the "very near future".
Because he mentioned the Alzheimer's and Cure in the letter, I'd assume that one or both of these are headlining, or at least co-headlining, the call. Maybe there are some other surprises that have finalized which didn't get a mention in the letter. Hard to know, but the two he did specifically point out are pretty exciting all on their own.
Exciting times ahead.
I see many people say "good luck to all the longs" or "congratulations longs" in their posts when something good has gone down. I'm obviously happy for those of us who deserve it. But I'd also like to voice my sincere hope that those who f*ck around are about to find out.
Or put another way, if you're playing stupid games I sure do hope you win stupid prizes.
You know who you are.
