I'm sure that's true but you can also apply for NIH grants. I always wondered why the former guys didn't apply, especially when the NIH was ladling money into vast pots of anti-Covid programs. Even now the NIH is spending a lot on Long Covid, and I believe Dr. Jay is working to attract NIH attention/funding in that area, if not others.
