Interesting todays trading was about 33M shares along with T-trades of 20M and 2M. This means that only about 9.5% of the trading volume consisted of short sales. Perhaps this is showing some level of short covering down here under the 200 DMA. The shorting has been rather light lately as compared to so many trading days in the past. If one observes the long term short volume chart against the PPS one can see a similar pattern after the January spike leading to lows in the stock followed by the mid February spike. Back then the absolute low in the level of shorting correlated with the absolute low in the PPS chart. Hmmmm.....
