Press Releases cost money to create, publish, and distribute. Kraig, currently, does NOT, presumably, have a superabundance of monies to spend frivolously on meaningless media. CEO Thompson is well known for being frugal and tight-fisted in regards to fiscal matters. He takes great care to get ‘bang for the buck’. Although, it is possible that he felt more free to spend b/c he knows ‘money’ is coming in the very near future; another interpretation. He wanted to get this info out there and release it at a time when nobody expected a pr; a dead week so to speak. This week would not have been a good time to reveal a major announcement and so he used it for another purpose some people have dismissed as wasteful. CEO Thompson does not waste money.
So … why would this very same CEO spend money on a press release on a topic that is seemingly unrelated or irrelevant to Kraig Biocraft? That is the question. It is clear he is trying to convey a message to the more forward-looking investors w/o making a big deal out of it. Very astutely, he has let the public know that spider silk proteins have purpose above and beyond making fibers. CEO Thompson thinks strategically and that is why we are in the strongly positive position we are in today.
We, the readers, have extrapolated beyond the actual wording to “Kraig is now moving into making biodegradable plastics”. The press release does NOT say that nor does it make that connection. WE made that connection. That is what is so good, and awesome, about this press release. Personally, I think this pr is brilliant. This was gamesmanship at its’ finest. My advice to the bashturd knuckle-draggers … look before you leap.
This is so much fun to watch an emerging giant; to change an industry that has not seen this kind of a transformation in more than, what?, 6,000 years? We have a front row seat. Never mind the catcalling from the cheap seats. We know better. It’s extraordinary. After this Easter weekend I suspect the fireworks will begin in earnest. You probably already know it but I’ll remind you anyway.

THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.
