The second well Mopane 2x confirms a large oil field 8 kilos from the initial well, Mopane 1x.

The Map in the link below shows the distance between Mopane 1 and 2 appears to be similar in distance between Graf 1 and Jonkers 1 which are the initial wells in the world class Shell discovery in adjacent PEL 39.

The Jonkers and Graf fields together are estimated to hold 500 million barrels of oil and are thought to be separate fields.

The Nambia properties controlled by Sintana have huge potential. So far the news is terrific but the potential could be even greater. It is encouraging Galp is aggressively exploring the block.
