Aside from Countries outside the arrangement..95 Countries within the
licensing agreement with Pfizer were experiencing delays in accessing
product...apparently ingredients were in short supply in mid 2022.
June 29th 2023 Pfizer struck a deal with Chinas' CSPC to launch a local brand
Antiviral Paxlovid.
My sense is that Pfizer didn't want the worst kind of publicity amidst a Global
pandemic. They had to cough up the beans.
