Im with you, thats a pretty big wrinkle. But I think its inevitable to have some ST shares. Say you own 5 mm shares. You could keep 4.7 mm as your LT core. The 300k would be used to trade in order to protect your original investment or to add more shares. If the stock moves up and down enough, you could increase those 300k shares very quickly and grow your LT core shares.
