That speculation would be a complete misunderstanding of how CCR5 works in cancer. CCR5 can promote immune effector cells including tumor associated macrophages (TAMS), PD-L1 and other factors that cancer uses to protect itself from destruction. It's exactly why leronlimab works by blocking CCR5.
