Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) on Thursday dropped the hammer on former President Donald Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, for raking in serious foreign cash off Trump's four-year tenure in the White House.
During a speech on the floor of the House of Representatives, Garcia declared that "Donald Trump and his family, especially the Kushners, participated in the largest presidential grift in history."
"We have records of 24 governments funneling millions into Trump properties and into Donald Trump's pockets while he was president, all in violation of the U.S. Constitution," Garcia argued, referencing the Constitution's so-called emoluments clause that bars presidents from accepting payments or titles from foreign governments. "And this is just the tip of the iceberg."

Garcia then said that so far he has only been able to access records of foreign payments to four Trump properties, meaning that foreign governments may have funneled even more cash into the president's coffers in other places.
"Despite the attempted cover-ups, we can still prove that Trump and Jared Kushner were making national security decisions while he and his family were getting bribed and paid by the same foreign powers," he said, although there is so far no direct evidence that Trump made national security decisions in exchange for foreign officials spending lavishly at his personal properties.
