The Novavax vaccine is superior, with fewer side effects and seemingly longer duration of protection. (Their original vaccine gave protection for 18 months -- we don't know about the booster because it hasn't been out there long enough, but it seems likely that it also lasts longer.)
I would never discourage anyone from getting a vaccine. But if there is a choice of a BETTER vaccine, it seems that some people would like to know about it.
Also, I encourage people to get the RSV vaccine because it can be a life-threatening illness for older and immune-compromised people. But again, there is a difference in vaccines.
GSK's traditional-method vaccine has greater efficacy and fewer side effects than the Pfizer vaccine, which is mRNA. (This is documented from clinical trial results.)
I can recommend the GSK vaccine, having been in the clinical trial for it. I had very mild side effects, pretty much a sore arm for a day.
