79-year-old patient dies from brain inflammation seemingly caused by Leqembi. She was in the early stages, probably would have had some significant amount of time in a relatively healthy condition if not for this drug which some scientists said was unsafe (and pretty ineffective).
Thanks, FDA. Oh, and this great drug only costs the government a couple hundred thousand bucks a year per patient. That’s why Medicare premiums went up very significantly — to pay for this and the other equally ineffective new Alzheimer's drug. I wonder how many seniors living on the financial edge won’t be able to afford their life-saving medicines, because of their increased Medicare premiums that pay for this stuff?
