Michael Cohen mocks Trump for 'not having the guts to appear'

Donald Trump invoked his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, in his Sunday rant on social media, and the Trump foe is hitting back.

In his all-caps post, Trump claimed that as a "star" witness, the "sleazebag and disbarred former lawyer Michael Cohen admitted in court to repeatedly lying under oath. It was a total breakdown, a non-recoverable Perry Mason moment. That alone ends this Biden Driven Witch Hunt. Election Interference!"

Under oath, Cohen confessed that his plea agreement forced him to lie by admitting to crimes he never committed. That's the so-called "lie" Trump is saying Cohen committed. While Cohen was sent to prison for tax fraud, among other charges, he maintains he never committed tax fraud.

Texting with Raw story on Sunday, Michael Cohen said: “Texting tough guy, a/k/a Donald The Demented, doesn’t have the guts to appear at the NYAG fraud trial. Instead, to appease his fragile ego, Donald (IN ALL CAPS) elects to attack and blame everyone else for his guilt. He knows that he lost the case, his money and business license. I told you so!"

Cohen has also said that the $250 million that New York Attorney General Letitia James quoted as a penalty to Trump's business doesn't include interest. He thinks that it'll end up being a much larger fine.

At the end of October, Cohen addressed what he said Trump's lawyers assumed was a "gotcha moment" in his questioning. Cohen has explained to Raw Story before that he was given 48 hours to respond to a plea agreement from the prosecutors or they would drop another indictment that would include his wife.

"I ask everybody to please take a look at the Petrillo sentencing memo which we put out, something also defense counsel did not want admitted," in court, Cohen said. "Why? Because very much like the GOP when I testified before the House Oversight Committee, as well as the other six different congressional committees, the only thing they know how to do is to attack, attack, attack, attack. That's the Trump way. Denigrate, deflect, and attack."
