back to the waiting game. waiting on:
1. FDA response to our submission.
2. Naming a leader
Both critical, but personally i'm more focused on the 2nd. Because if the FDA screws us on the 1st - anything short of simply lifting the hold, we are not in a position to pivot or get creative - because Cyrus seems to be more or less gone, and we're left with a lawyer from a wealth management firm, and an accountant / CFO. Even if they lift the hold (which we're all hoping on), what's next? Tanya will negotiate partnership agreements? Antonio? To say neither would be optimal is an understatement.
We need an effective leader yesterday. Someone who can dig in and figure out the next steps this company needs to make, to delve into discussions with potential partners and negotiate on our behalf (based on their understanding of the value of this drug) and communicate these plans and processes to shareholders. It needs to be someone who can command respect with potential partners so we shareholders receive the full value of what this drug is worth.
Someone posted that we really don't need a new CEO - maybe one of the most naive statements i've ever read. there is no success without great leadership - no company, no sports team, no nothing. And while I'm glad we submitted our response to the FDA, i believe we remain in a holding pattern until we name a true leader. You could argue this is the most critical time in the company's history to have an effective leader.
Really hoping it's someone impressive - and hoping that it's well before the deadline of year-end mentioned in the recent letter.
