Re: Integracer02 #773

Yes Integracer02, they are both possibilities.  However, the primary reason for posting this article is to showcase that a study is always performed first before proceeding with anything else.  In fact, it is a critical first step.  The study indicates where the timber is grouped or most dense within the lake, what species is present, what obstacles might impede harvesting, what equipment may be needed, and finally, how profitable the salvage operation could be.  The study typically will also investigate if harm might be caused to local indigenous populations, fisheries, and even other plants and animals in the area.

As a side note, I suspect such a study was already performed on Tucurri Reservoir in Brazil before the prototype was tested there.  If I am correct about this study being performed, then the last press release would seem to indicate a new area of study.
