'Dumpster fire time': Conservative has little hope after Jim Jordan nomination

Despite the fact that the House GOP caucus has settled on Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) as their second choice to become House speaker, after a brief flirtation with Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) fell apart, one conservative claims he sees no end to the madness that has mired the party in infighting and chaos.
In his column for the Daily Beast, Matt Lewis succinctly summed up the ouster of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) with no real plan for his replacement as a complete embarrassment to the party he belongs to.
Getting right to the point, he wrote, "It’s dumpster fire time as the House GOP’s dysfunction is on full display during a time of grave danger," before making the case that, should Jordan actually round out the 217 votes he needs to be handed the speaker's gavel, there will be no controlling a self-obsessed caucus that can't agree on anything.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office? NOOOOOOOO.....
As he put it, the Jordan nomination does not herald "an end to the madness is in sight."
Central to his fears are GOP lawmakers like Reps. Nancy Mace of South Carolina (described by Lewis as "an attention-starved pol" and Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and, of course Lauren Boebert (R-CO) -- all of whom seem to be focused on self-promotion and not working for the folks back home.
"Simply put, this moment is telling. The Republican Party’s inability to elect a Speaker of the House is a microcosm of larger cultural decadence and degeneration that are disproportionately afflicting the GOP. Too many of today’s politicians put themselves ahead of our institutions—and our country," he wrote.
"Resolving these deep-seated problems will be a generational project," he warned. "Obviously, we can’t wait that long for a Speaker of the House. At some point, this stalemate will have to end."
With that he urged Republicans to stay in D.C. and clean up their mess, writing: "Keep meeting. Keep voting. Keep driving until the GOP clown car finally crosses the finish line. 'If you’re going through hell,' an old saying advises, 'keep on going.' It’s the least they could do."
Jim Jordan, like donald tRump is a terrorist, a seditionist and a traitor.
