post of the year gestalt, and captures what many here feel for sure. frustrated doesn't begin to capture it for me.
my view (and i've mentioned this before) is that the lack of communication is a function of one simple thing - that we have no leadership at all right now - and haven't since Cyrus stepped down. the quiet period is because no one wants the mic. the last conference call made that clear - devoid of anything material, and they refused to take questions. why would a company refuse to take questions from investors (for the first time in my 7 years as an investor)? because they were scared to death to answer them - and no one wanted that role of being on point.
Having people work hard every day isn't the same as having someone manage the company forward. I'm sure Antonio is working hard every day - but he isn't (and never was) a CEO type - he's been thrust into the role twice due to circumstances beyond anyone's control. seems like a great guy, but he's a bean counter. And Tanya is a lawyer who was brought in to play defense - she has no clue how to lead this company.
so while i remain incredibly frustrated - i'm not surprised that no one has stepped up in any way after Cyrus went down - because there is no one to fill that role effectively. and i've given up on any meaningful communication or delivery of the go-forward mission until a new, real CEO is named.
