He’s being a condescending imbecile like usual. He’s referring to the 7M fine that Citadel recently got hit with for falsely categorizing long and short sales in their records. He’s trying to insinuate that if Citadel paid a 7M fine to cover a payment to CRGP that it would be hugely beneficial to the few CRGP shareholders.
The case is interesting though. There have been several recent instances where high level institutions are getting tagged for their involvement in causing share imbalances. Unfortunately the fines are so small that it’s just a routine cost of business, but the attention on the topic of fake shares and the significant negative impact it has on shareholders is growing. Whether that results in anything significant is up for debate.
