Re: HouseofCards #137125
there are 2 reasons we haven't heard anything: either there is no update, or there is no one on deck as a leader to deliver the message. or, i suppose it could be both.
we need a new CEO yesterday. when that person comes in, he / she will have their own agenda, and will want their own team. i wouldn't be surprised if they want a new board chair. Remember, Tanya was brought in specifically to defend against the charges against NP, etc. by the DOJ. But that chapter is over, thank God. We now may need to pivot from board leadership that focuses on defense, to one that focuses on offense - ideally board leadership with ties / experience in BP / biotech. This would also be consistent with more & better communication.
my point is that the pendulum swung a long ways - and had to - based on Nader's best efforts to destroy the company. i think it swung too far. it's time to find a CEO who is focused on increasing and ultimately maximizing shareholder value, and a board that is business minded and execution minded who can empower him / her. The new CEO will have their own agenda - and any plans being made now, will likely be modified to meet that agenda and some deck chairs will likely be shuffled. as such, any communication may be pending this person coming on board.
I really hope we learn of our new CEO by the end of this month. I know i am not alone in that regard.
