first time on the board in a couple weeks. to me, it comes down to the same troubling issue - we continue to have absolutely no leadership whatsoever right now.
we have a risk-averse lawyer as our COB (she was hired to defend against our legal troubles), and a young CFO as our president. And Cyrus has been a non-issue since he went out on leave. So for those wondering why there are no updates, news, communication, etc. - it's because we have no leadership right now - plain and simple. no one wants the mic.
as i had mentioned before - i have 2 primary biotech investments - both early stage, both small - both with very promising products. but the other has done extremely well and just got FDA approval, and now growing revenue. why is it doing so well and CytoDyn is not? Simple - the other has solid leadership - the guy is extremely professional and does the everyday blocking and tackling. no excuses, no bitching, no blaming others for challenges - just execution and results. funny how all of the BS falls away in the face of execution and results.
whether this company makes it or not will depend on the next leader named - and the clock is ticking. If it's a solid CEO, it's a great sign as that person will get more insight and a look under the hood than we'll ever get - and will tie their reputation to this company. No one worth his salt will tie onto a sinking ship.
go ahead and call me a "soft basher" for writing my honest opinion - i don't care as I'm signing off again - maybe for longer than 2 weeks this time - at least until we hire a leader. because it doesn't matter until then. i'm sure there are many on here who know how things work in the real world - and are as pissed off about this as me. because this investment is down 90% not because of the FDA, BP, short-sellers or anyone else - but because of incompetent leadership at this company.
