Truly a fascinating discussion and brought back memories of the push to investigate LL in strokes. I loved 99% of it. The 1% that was the Debbie Downer moment was when they acted like Maraviroc was the only CCR5 blocker out there.
I had 2 take aways: one, there are so many avenues for LL that I wonder how long it would take to pursue more than the handful of indications we are looking at in the near term if we go-it-alone vs. partnerships or even a buyout (love partnerships, mixed feelings on BO); and two, that this CCR5 research is in its infancy. The future is blinding with applications yet to be discovered.
I continue to believe CCR5 is the key that will unlock many doors and why I am steadfast in holding for the long haul.
