I don't think that calling or e-mailing is useful at all. Some CEOs tell you what you want to hear, so I actually prefer that he only talk publically to all and he is doing the right thing.

I doubt that anyone is happy with the silence, but some are understanding. May be he doesn't want to mention certain stuff yet till the deal is complete - may be.
