As a kid with a cane pole fishing for crappies with my dad, my bobber went down and I had about a 4 pound Northern with a small crappie in it's mouth. He spit out the crappie right as I got him near the boat. The crappie had my hook in it's mouth, we cleaned him and ate him, just teeth marks here and there, not bit in half like your ocean photo.
