BP is motivated pre-eminently by money. If you put an anchor on a company you might slow them down. With a great drug and a leprechaun spotted in the distance with a Fort Knox sized pot of gold they will realize a better strategy is to take a healthy sized position in the company. They also risk a competitor getting to the pot first. The smart money buys the opportunity…right now that’s us…tomorrow it could be BP.
