For me this sounds more and more like FDA is guiding Cytodyn for some time now.
Any approval for HIV would require a new trial. A new trial for an indication that Cytodyn says it will not pursue with the current formulation. Indeed spurious given that the hold is only over safety and that is the only data we should need to provide.
