My guess is that an individual or small group stepped in to help because they like the chances of a win and of course will get favorable terms for the financing so their risk is minimized.

Maybe it's Welch again and the money being an extension of the backstop is why it hasn't been 8K'ed, Not sure. The important part is that the legal expenses seem to be taken care of.
